id go to a shop like the body shop and buy their exfoliating products along with their body butters. After a soak in the bath get her to use a body buffer and some exfoliating gel/cream and in circle motions slowly exfoliate, this will help get rid of any dead skin cells and also will make the skin glow. Afterwards get some of the body butter, which is best for very dry skin, and rub it in. Do this on a daily basis and it should lead to amazing skin. Not only that but using the body shop range will make you smell amazing too 29 Oct 2009 / Reply answer / 0

My skin was seriously bad when I was her age and really sensitive, but it calmed down a lot as I got older. I use Vaseline or someing with Petroleum jelly in it. And put a clump of it on my face and spread it around before bed. The next morning I wake up face it off and my hair cause it goes greasy with it on, so tie her hair back and use a hair band. Try using a bio-flow if she has similar symtons to eczema.

natural moisturizers are the best!

and make her drink plenty of water so that she can be hydrated from the inside out. and provide her enough fruits and vegetables.. maybe her skin just needs some vitamins

Yea I have wrinkles on my forehead because my skin is really dry. and my eczema doesn't help either. I have learned about certain ways to keep my skin moist and firm. And I have bought certain products that help me. I also bought this book called The Japanese Skincare Revolution by Chizu Saeki , to help me. it is a great book so far... helps you learn and get the most out of your beauty products. try to make sure she does not take very hot baths... what also helped my skin was the Aveeno oatmeal bath soak.. it also prevented dryness and itching. I use Eucerin for my body, and for my face....it have several Q-10 and collagen products that I use; finishing with an Oxygenated Rose cream. 18 Oct 2009 / Reply answer / 0

My skin is also extremely dry and sensitive, so there could be a lot of reasons...

even just plain water can cause dry skin - don't let her stay in the tub more than 10-15 minutes and use warm, not hot water and as soon as she gets out of the tub or shower apply a moisturizer while her skin is damp.
she gets irritated because of harsh soaps - use mild soap or cleansers for sensitive skin
the air in your house might be too dry - place a cool mist humidifier in the room where she's sleeping
she might be seriously dehydrated..give her more fruits and liquids every day

If she has itchy red patches on her skin she could have eczema. If her skin doesn't improve with all the homemade treatments go to the doctors.

Have you tried moisturizing? You can get this ones which exfoliate the skin and then pile loads of moisture on.
The daily wind and cold can dry out the skin so she should always be putting on some deep moisturiser!

If you have tried that route then I suggest that you take your daughter to her local GP, and just see what they have to say. It'll porbably just be nothing, but she could have a mild form of eczema. I have had eczema, but I have grown out of it now, so there is nothing to say that if that is the case, it's there forever!

Hope it all goes well
