How do I lighten and shorten long arm hair?

I have long arm hair and its bad because it's brown so people can see it in the winter when I'm not tan. I'm just starting to notice it again and its kind of embarrassing. Any ways of fixing it without shaving or waxing? I don't want it to grow back thicker and darker. (Note on the attatched pic: My arm is wet only because the hair wouldn't show up in the picture when dry.)

omg i have the same problem. and my mom just tells me "oh people wont care why are they stareing there anyway" and when i was like 5 i did shave it because i was being curious... so.. >.> lol. but i hate it beacuse people stare at me and always say "you have alot of arm hair" and its like uhm yeah thanks for pointing that out.. ;[ so many ill try one of these sulutions but for now, i just try to forget about it beacuse why should you be judged on arm hair? and if you are then the other people are strange o.o 25 Oct 2009 / Reply answer / 0

lol freak you can get a lightener but it may lighten your skin too and that would look funny right?

well i've been shaving my armss since jr high and they've never come back all crazy bushy. it's still the same color, the only thing is when you have that BABY hair on your arms the hair you were born with is finer than the rest that has been grown in behind it. so it's already as thick as it's going to be by this point at the base.

as i said i shave it when ever it think it's too long or noticeable cause i HATE the idea of monkey arms my friend back in school had super thick long dark hair and looked like monkey arms!!!! i swore then that would never happen to me 16 Oct 2009 / Reply answer / 0
