Can people with acne problem wear makeup and will it cause more acne if they use makeup?

I use bareminerals and it works wonders for my skin! I may have some breakouts here and there but bareminerals is powder that you can apply on during the day or at night.. you dont have to wash it off and it blends with your skin. Also DONT USE LIQUID COVERUP/FOUNDATION it totally makes me breakout

i like nutragena blemish fighting foundation. also make sure you wash your face in the morning and at night. dont' wear makeup more than you have to.

Use a makeup that has acne prone skin in mind.

Some say that using a makeup primer under your foundation will help prevent makeup from entering and clogging your pores. I have yet to try this. Just make sure it doesn't clog pores either. If it doesn't work right away, don't automatically blame it on the primer. When you're trying to get over acne, it will take a few months before it all goes away. It could be another flair up.
I know my husband's mom used makeup primer when she was a chemist at the University. It kept the acids in the lab from messing up the pH balance in her face.

Thus far, I have had lots of bad luck for makeup and acne. So I just went without.
Sometimes the best thing to do is just to spot treat your acne with makeup, so you don't have as much makeup on your skin to get trapped in your pores. And never go to sleep with your makeup on! 21 Oct 2008 / Reply answer / +1

Yes! Of course you can. :] I suffered from acne for 4 years. I've been on Accutane for three months now, and am completely cleared except for the occasional pimple (I still have two more months to go, however!) Just make sure your foundation is non-comogenic (won't clog pores) and oil-free. Make-up with minerals in it (Bare Escentuals, Sheer Cover, etc.) are also a safe choice. Just make sure you don't sleep in your make-up! I always found whenever I did I would wake up to two or three beauties lingering on my face. Good luck! / Reply answer / 0

i dont use proactive, because it doesnt help.
but if you still wanna wear make up
you can. get makeup that has fine minerals in it.

i use to have the same problem.
