I had an abortionn!!!!

When i was 15 i had a boyfriend who used to beat and sexually abuse me. I NEVER wanted to have sex with him, i was extremely scared of him.

I got pregnent and had an abortion a couple of days after my 16th birthday. I was 2 months pregnent. I actually went for an abortion as soon as i knew i was pregnent at 2 weeks but you have to wait to see doctors to see if you should. I cant remember anything of my pregnency or anything around the time before or after my pregnency as at the time i had very bad depression. I was told i had to have it. if i would have kept the baby for a i woudoption i would have killed myself and ithe baby becuase i was too ill.

Also when i was having the abortion there was a women having an abortion because her baby had downs.

The reason i am writting this is because people seem to have so many ideas about people and abortions. So what do you think of what i have said???

I think that if you had chosen to have sex unprotected,then you shouldnt get abortion, but this wasnt your fault at alll, so i could understand. This same thing happened to my cousin when she was 15 but she decided to keep the baby. 30 Oct 2009 / Reply answer / 0

I see it from both sides..why get a abortion if you chose to have unprotected sex or you didn't care of the consequences and now that your pregnant why kill it? my ex best mate had a abortion because she chose to have unprotected sex and decided she didn't want to be stuck with the consequences which is gutless i think.

Then if its rape, sexual assault etc then i think its ok. you don't want to have a child and have it asking who's it father is and break the news its a child out of rape. you would be stuck with that emotional pain for the rest of your life.

Now i'm not saying its a bad thing in either of the statements neither am i saying its a good thing this is just how i look at abortions. but well done for having the courage to tell people on here if i was in your shoes i dont think i'd be able to confess something like that

That girl will have to live with what she did for the rest of her life, its not easyt having an abortion for any reason, but i would never tell anyone they are wrong about anything because its not my place to do so.

My friend in 7th grade had came back after not seeing her in 3 years, and she was pregnant. she didn't get an abortion, and she was 12. She was lucky then, but alot of people cant do that. Its like my parents would not have been able to provide for the baby as they worked full time and didnt have the funds to pay for another one.

Then put it up for adoption to a couple that cant have a baby of their own. I know of several girls that did that and their babies are in good loving homes.

How do they know they are in goods loving homes?? You cant just assume these things. People who are adopted think that thier parents didnt want them.

i dont believe in abortions at all.. i just find it sickening.. my mom and i had converstation about this a while ago.. i told her if i were to get pregnant with a boyfriend or something when i like 16 or something than i would give the baby to my mom.. (she cant have anymore and she wants one)

if i was rapped or something, i would most likely give the baby for a doption.. but thats even hard to say. i know when you give birth its a beautiful thing, so i might be inlove with it..

How much do you know about abortions??? You cant just go and get one if you feel like it, they wont let you, thier has to be a proper reason for it. Also you cant just give your baby for adoption, it takes ages that baby would go to foster care first from house to house even before its adopted. Aswell alot of people who are adopted feel thier is something missing and alot go to trace thier real family. How would you feel if you went to your real mother and she said i didnt want you because you from when i was raped???
Also if your old enough to have sex you are old enough to have a baby, giving it to your mum is not responsible. can you imagine when that baby finds out you are not thier sister but thier mum????? Do you know how hard it is just to hand over your baby, like here mum this is one i made earlier. Its really not as easy as it sounds.
Its really sad ur mum cant have children anymore and maybe one day you could help her with that, but a baby by accident is not the answer for her.

Hey all this is thinkable but when you compare it to giving your kid a chance at life, all this even though it isn't a blissful life is heaven compared to killing it and never letting it have a chance! i think your argument has lost. EVERYBODY deservers a chance to live.

I havnt lost any argument, i wasnt arguing anyway i was just telling people my story to see what they think to it, thats all. If abortions where wrong they wouldnt be legal. I know its obviously again your religion and i can understand that, but didnt god say something about not judging people.

sorry i totally believe it's the woman's choice but with choice comes responsibility. that's y they make those rules about the egg having to still be in the first trimester so it's not developed into anything besides split cells

i wouldn't be able to have one i don't believe it in for myself. but i'm not going to tell anyone they shouldn't if it's damaging to their healt, or their mental status.

if someone was raped and for the rest of their lives they have to know this child that looks just like their rapist is their responsibility i think that would be very damaging to the mother and could even end in harm for the baby.

and a child of 14 shouldn't be forced to have a baby. their body can't take it. it's hard and unhealty for most. i do believe if parent are allowing their child to have sex before they could potentally handel the conciquences they should have some kind of law just like they do for underage drinking.

i was 15. 16 when i had the abortion, its not the fact it would look like him its the fact i was ill anyway. I didnt make any decision to keep the baby or not, the doctors said it was not safe for me to do so. As i was on medication and i had really bad depression the world was going by without me. I couldnt make a decsion about getting out of bed let alone weather to keep a baby.
Noone aloud anyone to have sex and parents dont even know if thier child is or not. Anyway it wasnt even a baby yet it didnt look like one nothing.

I think its wrong to have an aborton to matter what! I would taken the chance. doctors are not always right and i would bet on the baby making it through and having a chance at life vs mine. Im so sorry for your hard life as a teen!

You dont have to be sorry for my life if it didnt happen i wouldnt be the person i am today. I dont regret anything i did. I can tell you for deffinate the baby and me wouldnt have survived there was way too much stress invovled. I wasnt stable enough to gpone through it i would have needed someone to look after me. And if i died the baby survived. What effect do you think it would have had on m y family.

I seriously doubt the stress would have killed you or the baby! my mom had 12 babies (talk about stress!) and both her and the babies were perfectly fine! Who cares if it cause a lot of stress to the family. Thats what family is for is to look out for eachother and help! sorry human life is so precious and everybody should have a chance at life. even a lil unborn baby. I think aborton is wrong in every sense of way and form. BUT everybody chooses to live their lives the way they want to.

Not the stress of the baby, I had depression way before i was pregnent, if you have ever come across someone who has extremely bad depression, you would know that they have serious problems, in my head i didnt even know i was pregnent, if you can understand what i mean. Before you have so many opinions about abortion, you need to reaserch it first dont go by what you are braught up to believe. You need to go to an abortion clinic and see for yourself what its like. Be abit more open minded about the situation. Everyone knows that too much stress you can easily have a misscaridge.

I dont need to do resource and have doctors tell me that their not babies yet until their brain is developed and all that crap! Being pregnant means their live within you! okay if God gave you a baby to have then obvious he thought you could have handled it! babies ARE NEVER ACCIDENTS! we are not the ones that put them there, God did! It doesn't matter how depress you are, that wouldn't have effect the baby or you physically! and if you say having so much stress causes a miscarriage then why didn't you just wait it out and lose the baby that way if you didn't want it instead of destroying it?

I am more pro-choice. I believe women should have the right because there are so many cicumstances we can be in... like if you were raped...I believe a women should have the right to have an abortion. ( can you image if one day your mom told you that you were a result of a rape? that is why your mom does not know your real father?) You cant just have an abortion,i had to go through 3 doctors to tell me it was ok and that i wasnt just doing it because i wanted the party lifestyle. There has to be a reason to have an abortion, like you cant cope and all the other options are not good.

Well, i dont like abortions much. Its like, theres not much diffrence is going up to a normal life baby and shooting it. how dyu no it doesnt feel any pain when you kill it inside ur stomach? So i dont like them.
BUT.
sometimes they are necessary. like, suppose you got raped and got preggerz and you were too young? Its easier said than done to give it away after youv had the baby. Its your baby. its been part of you, inside you, for 9 months, theres gotta be a connection between yous. but honestly, if hes gonna have bad illness thats gna affect his life frevers, then its better you abort him. I mean id rather never have been born than born in a total fxcked up way like mentally challenged or disbabled. and in your case, i dont blame you for getting an abortion.

They couldnt charge him because he was the same ageas me and it was my word against his because noone would get invovled .i listed names to the police of people who saw or new what was happening but everyone was to scared to speak because they would have to go to court.

Yeah in the end he tried to stab me, and the police arrested him, but couldnt charge him. This is the message i am trying to get across that sometimes you have no choice. People cant say its wrong to have an abortion if they dont know the facts if you know what i mean

They didnt know, they knew something was going on, but wasnt sure what. They knew i was ill and they saw bruises on me, but i kept lying about everything. when i was pregnent i told them straight away. They helped me through everything. when he tried to stab me they where on holiday. He trapped me in his house for one year. He used to ring my mum and dad and say hannah is staying here again tonight can you bring her, her school uniform, i didnt even no.
