i like the idea of painging stripes then when it's dry painting big colorful circles (and you can hang pics in the middle of the cirlcles if they're big enough) 23 Jul 2009 / Reply answer / 0

I think this one is super cutee(:

I was looking for a two-toned bedroom design but i couldnt find any good ones. Like half and half. for example:
-Top half of your wall can be blue and bottom green or any other colour you like =]

maybe you could have a feature wall,
on one of your walls, and then you
could paint the rest of the walls a colour
that relates to the wallpaper.
maybe, on the walls that you have painted,
you could have a canvas, with the same
wallpaper on, too[:

What you could do is if you want to keep your room light and spacious but also quite colourful, you could have it all white or neutral colours with a feature wall, such as a spring green wall for lightness or maybe a crimson wall or maybe burnt orange or something like that if you want it darker.... For my room I have alll of the walls a vanilla custard kind of colour and then my fireplace is duck egg blue and another wall is wallpapered with the two colours together... its quite a nice effect and make your room light and spacy and at the same time adds some colour.
If I were you, I would not paint your room two very bright colours unless your room is very big and extremely light as it will shrink your room and can give you a headache. Plus its not very calming when you go to bed, though blue however is proven to be...
Its really up to how big your room is and how light but I hope the suggestions above are alright. When I was redecorating my room I looked through loads of decorating mags for ideas.
It also helps speed the process up if you have a lamp, a chair, bedcovers or cutrains or wallpaper that you want to work your room around which can help cause you have to think of what would look best with the object so it narrows things down a little. Hope i helped. x
