How old do you have to be to get a cartliage piercing and what ear should i get it on?

Okay so im 13 years old and i want a piercing on my cartilage but i dont know how old you have to be and i dont know which ear to get it on and my friends wants one to and shes like YOU BETTER NOT GET ONE ON YOUR LEFT EAR OR I WILL TELL PEOPLE YOU COPIED ME and im like what the heck?? (i kinda dont like her anymore cuz shes preppy and annoying now) but im like i can do anything i want its not your choice. But i dont know if i want one on my left ear or not. And does it hurt a lot?? i mean yeah it will hurt but i dont want to to hurt so much that i will cry or something and where can i get one at? im kinda afraid to go to a tatoo parlor cuz idk if they will make it good or not.

it'll hurt a bit and sometimes stay sore a bit longer and it takes longer to heal over so don't take it out and keep it clean

and there is a saying that leads everyone to think if your left ear is pierced more your straight and if your right ear is then your fruity so i'd stick to the left : P

and walmart did my lil sister's and she wasn't even 13yrs. go to the jewelry area of your walmart and ask the different ladies if they do it. some may say no they don't but some may say yes just depending on how comfortable they are with doing it.

i dont know what side is better and truthfully i dont know that it matters but if you want it on your right then get it on the right she cant tell you what to do. going out and buying the the exact same outfit she wore and wearing it the next day is copying. tell her she copied the last girl who got one on her right side cuz plenty other girls have...i thought you had to be 18 though but im not sure. i couldnt get my nose peirced til then 06 Nov 2009 / Reply answer / 0

When i went to get mine, they said 13. so i think your ok =) it might depend on age but remember, it will be sore for 6 months and you cant take the ear rings out for that time. not only because it has to heal but it hurts :/
It doesent really hurt anymore than the first one, but it pinches a bit harder.

oh and about your ear, most girls get it on their right side. i got a 3rd piercing so i havent got one on the top but it really depends on how you wanna do it(:
your friend is a bit bitter, just because you wanna get a piercing on top and she happens to have one doesent make you a copy cat or whatever. I would just tell her that she copied 4 billion girls then lol people started getting them done way before she was born so its not like her idea or anything.
