How do you block text messages ?

Some guy got my number and he keeps on sending me texts that I really don't want. Some of these are pretty nasty. How do I block them? Can I just block them, or do I have to get a new number?

the only thing you can do is phone up your phone company, ask them how to do it, or they may even do it for you, it really depends what kind of phone you have, because some might have instructions on how to do it in the booklets that you get with your phones, yet others may not. (:

the only thing i know you can do really just call up your cell company and tell them to block the #.sorry about what happened though. and if you need anything else let me know
