i agree with the beloow. (:
it's they're house, so it's their rules, if you really deperately wanted it then you would wait three years for it really. maybe get a fake, magnetic one, they look real to me, lolzz. but if you REALLY can't wait that long, sit them down and talk to them and get a amaal one to strat off with, also you could tell them that if they don't like it, then the hole will always heal. truthfully i'd go with a fake stick on or magnetic stud to help your parents realize it's not that strange and to help them realize you want it bad enough to keep that on 03 Jul 2009 / 0

I agree with undeadXprincess.
but if you feel it'd make you happier with your
overall appearance and would benifit you greatly
tell your mom it's something you want to do for yourself
in order to boost your self confidence.
try and compromise and promise you'll wear a tiny stud
as soon as it's healed if that's what she wants.
say you're growing up and you want to take on
some responsibility that comes along with being a
teenager and that you want to have a little more say
on what you do with your body.
do research on it saying stuff like it will close
up and heal over if I regret it and that she has
to let you make your own mistakes some time.
also tell her you'll still be her "little girl""(:
parents just hate it that they're kids are growing up.

sweetheart I know you might want it now, but you have to remember, you live in your parents house so its your parents way or no way. I'm going through the same thing and I just say to mysefl, "Is it going to make me a better person? Will it change my life? Is it going to benefit my future?" And every single one of those answers is no. I would just wait till you are 16 like your mom says. Your lucky because that's early, I'm not allowed to do anything like that till I'm 18. and that's 3 years away for me.
If you are bound and determined to get it soon, just sit down and talk to your parents. Tell them it is your body and it is a change you want to do for yourself. Tell them that you are doing it to show your individuality. But make sure you say it all in a calm and nice manner.
If that doesn't work well then sweetheart you're just going to have to wait. I know waiting sucks but it'll come sooner than you expect it. :] 03 Jul 2009 / +1 Reply answer
