Can I text Canada?

I live in the United States and I have versizon. I'm wondering if I could text someone in Canada. I have unlimited,but I don't know if the texts from and to Canada will be covered.

It depends. If your phone is opened for international acceptance calls/ texts then you can send a text to Canada, but it will cost you.
