Okay so heres the deal, right now my hair is just simple black (I've never dyed my hair)....

and I have some short lawyers ontop and some on the bottom. It's a bit past my shoulders. I used to have like really long hair last year when I grew out my lawyers (lawyers are my #1 haircut!) and it looked pretty nice. I'm thinking of doing that again or getting a clean start by just getting a small trim to get rid of split ends and then just plan on growing it out. Can you sorta get rid of lawyers so you can have just normal hair? So here's my question,
Should I cut my hair now and just get a trim to get rid of spllit ends and get the lawyers sorta out... (if that makes sense) or should I just grow out my lawyers and then get a trim?? The thing is my split ends are KILLING ME!
In the picture my hair is just cut off a bit in the pic.

oki yer hair never dyed thats just amzin hunz ( same ere btw )
arryt btw dyes arent usually main cause of split ends well it cud be alotta things like yer diet ( food u eat ) intake of water , the way u wash yer hair , straightnin , excessive blowdryin and stylin eh..
aryyt since u wanna take out the split ends first lets do that alryt
get a gud trim prolly like till yer shoulders or sumfn..
after like u do that u prolly get an actually hair cut ( sumfin like a nice bob it wud really compliment yer face and yer hairtexture.. wud go with it )

or u cud like just go to the saloon and ask em to remove yer split ends with a trim first then tell then to cut layers straightaway
