i need your help!

ok, so here is my situation, my parents wont me wear make-up, not even foundation, how can i convince them to let me wear just the basis's??

covering acne is a great way to convince them to let you wear something

there is a great liquid foundation by nutragena called blemish fighting (you can see a pic of it in my lists under stuff i use) the trick is to convince them that's the main reason you want it to help hide and treat your 'blemishes'

and you can ease into lipsticks with tinted lip balm i like bert's bees wax in watermelon (that's the shade) it's semi sheer but adds shine and a lil color. totally acceptable as a great lip protectant but it adds a bit of girlyness

truthfully i never asked my mom anything. i just started wearing makeup lol but i only wore the foundation mostly in school then i started adding chapstick and some sheer tan eyeshadows that added a bit of sparkle i didn't really do eyeliner (maybe a lil ) in school and i still don't use mascara 14 Nov 2009 / Reply answer / 0

how old are you? the trick is to ease makeup in gradually-like first powder and lipgloss then maybe blush or mascara, then finally foundation and eyeliner. my mom wouldnt let me until i was 16-then it was only foundation, blush and lipgloss, then seventeen mascara and finally eighteen whatever i wanted. your parents just dont want you growing...my guess is youre their first daughter. ask them if you could wear powder. then get the kind from cover girl that is heavier and is almost goes on like a foundation. or just see what you can compromise on...you prob dont even need foundation-just a little mascara for fun. mascara doesnt have to be heavy it can look natural just get kind that makes your lashes longer. tell your mom you dont have to look like a barbie doll, and if she could show you how to do it right you promise you wont start wearing too much. 14 Nov 2009 / Reply answer / 0

Okay my parents were like that too. and how i convinced them is i only started out with a little bit of make up. I bought cover-up to cover my acne and my friend gave me some mascara and a bit of blush. They weren't sure at first but i told them that id only wear it for special occasions and that id show them what I put on before I left the house
