Helpp?

So i like this guy. and i was in class and he said something i thought was funny, so i told my friend the next period. and she asked him if he said it and he said no. anyway there was a big misunderstanding and my two other friends made a BIG DEAL about it and the boy got mad. so i feel really bad what should i do? :/

well why would your friend go and ask if he said it? was it something about your mate or is your mate just a person who has trust issues??
