What color does burgundy fade into?

I'm looking at dying my hair burgundy this weekend, but I'm a bit worried about the color fading. I know that red hair fades quicker than other colors, but I don't want to end up with strawberry blonde hair (which usually happens).

So, what color do you think burgundy fades into on light brown/dark blonde hair? I had burgundy hair once in my freshman year of high school, but I can't remember for the life of me what it faded into.
