The Perfect Punk/Indie Hairstyle?

I want to get my hair cut short, but I want a more punkish style, and not the traditional "pretty" short haircut. I have lower back long and slightly wavy brown thin hair. I don't want to have to straighten it or anything because I don't want to become bald before age twenty and also because I'm lazy (:3). I kind of want a rocker hairstyle that's not too over the top. Any suggestions?
