I'm trying to find a scene look for my hair so that I dont have to straighten it. Any ideas??!?

I'm Half White, Half African American, and I have typical crazy, uber-curly natural Black Hair. It takes forever for me to straighten my hair, and I just dont have the time. Right now my hair is relatively short- In a sort of afro style. I want to change that.

cut your hair in the scene style you want (i'll send some pics =])

then try this to style it
__________________________
1. Wash your hair.

2. Scrunch your hair, parting it to the side. Use a small amount of watered down hair gel (mix the
gel with water) or spray gel, then hairspray it up until you know it will hold your curls in.

* Although scrunched, air-dried hair works well, it's best that you blow dry it. While you are blow
drying it grab sections of your hair and push it upwards until it's all done. Try using a diffuser
attachment to reduce frizz and fly aways.

Get some side bangs and straighten them when you wear your hair down. Some scene
hairstyles have even bangs that go across the forehead, but if you have curly hair, you want side
tapering bangs. When your hair is curly, pin your bangs to the side with a bow, a butterfly clip, or
some other clip.

[i got this from scene-hairstyles.com]

hope this helps for the styling part and the best thing is you dont have to straighten

maybe about this length but imagine it curlier (or maybe straighten once in a while) i have the same problem with the time but you can get your hair chemically straitened and it will make it easier to straighten later on 05 Feb 2009 / +1

use a curl relaxer and some straightning product that could help your hair get trainded to be straight
or try to grow it out and then use curl relaxer.
i know how you feel i have wild tight wavy hair.

if you don't want to spend bunches of time on straitening, so you could spike the back up a lot
and only straiten your bangs down.
this is me with it.
it took me ten minutes to spike and straiten.

You could get a stragiht perm/Japanese perm. It makes hair straighter chemically so that you don't have to spend as long flat ironing it. 04 Feb 2009 / 0
