How to spike up long layers?

but I'm not sure HOW to do it... do you think got2b hair spray would work enough... am I supposed to tease it? how do i get the layers to stick straight up at the top?

Okay, do not use gel, it gets sticky and its pretty gross. Extra hold hairspray will work, I suggest staying away from suave hairspray cuz it just gets sticky after using a lot. Then tease your hair till it stands up straight, or gets to the height you want it. To get max volume hold the hair at about a 145 angle, not just straight up. Then when you finish up whatever style you want, dont freak if it looks like a rats nest, just gently comb the top part until it looks okay.
