How do you do this?

Okay so I've seen lots of pics with this kinda hair doo and I've tried doing it and I just don't know how! I think its kinda cute, but i can never do it right, so how do i do it?

See I've tried that before, but it just looked supid, and it kept poofing up! Do i put it over my ears or something? because my ears kinda stick out a tad when i try to do this. 02 Jul 2009 / 0

i would make sur i have super straight hair.
and then brush it and hold it down with a nother headband, this one being lower down.
then put your desired headband on [further up] than the other one.
then take the headband that was the lowest down off. (:

Okay so I'd just flat iron my hair, no curving inward, just straight down. Take a thick headband and place it in the spot where you'd like it to be. Pull the excess hair thats puffing up down (pull the headband a litte, reach your hand under it, then pull you hair down), then I'd take a shining serum/spray and use that a little. Or maybe a defrizzing serum
