How do I tease my hair?

I got a scene haircut and need to tease it.

1. Straighten your hair and all the layers.
2. Take a section of layers at the crown of your hair and tease and backbrush it. Backbrushing is when you lift up a section of your hair and brush it from the tip towards your head, basically just combing it backwards.
3. Once you're done backbrushing, spray some hairspray on that section of hair so it won't fall down.
4. Do this to the rest of your hair except your front, where your bangs are. Be sure to tease it well.
5. Once your done with all of that, lightly brush all the layers you teased/backbrushed so its not as ratty and tangled.
6. Spray your whole head lightly with hairspray.
