it is best to use a pair of new sizzors (if you use them on anything besides hair it will dull them and you could get split ends because of that)

and i would say get a trusted friend to help as well cause they can help you get things straight in back : P

I don't think its a bad idea. I did it. It turned out really good and all i used was lil craft scissors. lolz. I bet it would turn out a whole lot better if you have the right tools So i don't see why not :] 04 Jul 2009 / Reply answer / 0

I don't think it is such a bad idea... i cut my hair all the time! An easy way to cut it is to put it in a ponytail right on top of your head and cut it... it will give you some layers and it wont be lopsided! 04 Jul 2009 / Reply answer / 0

yeah, if you have the right tools and all, then it should be ok. make sure you are being supervised by an adult. [depends how old you are thouggh] maybe learn all there is to know about cutting your own hair at home and maybe do as much research as possible; also maybe practice on a dolls head or something first just to be certain. I know this sounds a bit silly but practice on a dolls head then you get the hang of it then obviously try your own if you know what you want and all! 04 Jul 2009 / Reply answer / 0

well if you have the right tools, you trust yourself, and you know what you want your hair to look like, then it isnt such a bad idea. but if no one thinks its a good idea and you dont trust yourself, then dont do it, because why would you wanna risk a bad haircut. but if you wanna have a certain haircut and you dont know how to explain it to the haircutter then just print out a picture of it, and then give it to them. its really that simple i know alot of ppl that just give them a picture and they always have backup pics incase. if you need anything else let me know!! 04 Jul 2009 / Reply answer / 0

Before, you actuallt cut your own hair. Learn exactly what you're doing. If you know what the risks are but still want to do it, then go for it! If you're still not sure, then get it professionally done. But always get it done by someone who is good at the hairstyle you want. 04 Jul 2009 / Reply answer / 0

some people might say its a bad idea, some people might say it is good.
personally, i would do it but only for my bangs since i dont want to go int he salon every month and pay 20$ to have my bangs trimmed.
however, if you want layers i would go to a professionel (it will be very hard on your own)
if you only what a trim and your hair is all one layer go ahead and trim it a little but make sure that in the end its even.

good luckkk

This IS a bad idea. Are you an expert? Do you've any experience on this at all? Please think first. There's no fast way to grow your hair. If you've the money to go to a professional then go. 04 Jul 2009 / Reply answer / 0

well hairdressers are well trained in cutting and styling hair. there are so many cutting techniques that we are not aware of. the chances of messing up your hair are higher ..way higher...than if you would get your hair cut at a salon.

But if you just want a simple cut you might try it and see how it goes, after all...hair does grow back. so if you feel you could pull it off...go ahead and give it a try..just go slowly
