Can I use sunflower oil as a substitute for olive oil for a treatment for curly hair?

HI! I have really thick curly hair but it tends to get dry and and lacks the moisture that I want my hair to have. I read on the website that I can treat this with olive oil however I live in Papua New Guinea and olive oil is quite expensive for me to buy. I have sunflower oil at home and I'm just wondering wether this has the same benefits as olive oil??? I use the KMS brand of products for my hair (shampoo, conditioner & mousse). Also what can I do for volume, when I go out I'd like my hair to have a bit more volume???? Anything at all is appreciated.

it's great for dry hair and very moisturising but not good for damage or protein replenishing

i use pure sunflower oil for my hair and its good...it makes my hair extra soft and easy to comb..plus its more shinier minus the sticky feel like i used to have when i use hair serum..
