Knee Injury.

ok so we had a volleyball game today and we hit a ball out of bounds i ran after it and jumped to it and saved it but my knee popped and i went to the trainer. He said that if i couldnt bend my knee by in the morning i cant play. We play a team from a really big school so i really want to play. Should i play or tell my coach the truth.

no matter how big the game is, you are no use to the team if you cant bend your knees and go after the ball. your coach isnt blind (hopefully) and he will see that the knee isnt better and that you arent playing up to your potential. I would definitely work to get my knees into a position that i could play, but in the end you need to be able to play later and not ruin you knees. 19 Sep 2009 / Reply answer / 0

Tell the coach the truth. because if you cause further injury you may have to have surgery or you may cause serious damage which can lead to a life time of pain. You do not want to cause permenant damage to your knee. 19 Sep 2009 / Reply answer / 0

do what the trainer says, and tell youre coach for sure. if you permanently damage it you know youll regret it the rest of your life and if you do play then it could mean surgery in the near future which would mean no more playing or anything for the rest of the year. i ran on a stress fracture for two weeks before going to the doctor and it took an extra three months to heal 19 Sep 2009 / Reply answer / 0

well if it's a serious injury, playing could permanently damage the tissue or other parts of your knee. and lieing isn't a very honorable thing, so just try to really loosen it up before the game, and if you're feeling better, try to play. however, if the pain becomes really intense, take a break. 19 Sep 2009 / Reply answer / 0
