Be yourself. Don`t try to be a phony just to impress people. If you don`t like rock music or skateboarding then don`t force yourself to, just embrace what it is that you do like to do.
Here's how you can get the skater look. Go get some skate brand shirts like element, volcom, and wear them occasionally. That may seem like you are desperate to look the part, and not in for the fun of skateboarding.
Next you new skater shoes. Normal shoes don't grip well on skateboards and if you are willing to do tricks such as ollie, kickflip and pretty much anything else, your regular shoes will rip in 30 minutes. eS, Etnies, Fallen, Vans, etc. They are all good. Most importantly, NEVER BUY GIRL SKATING SHOES for Skating! You can get them for looks but they don't do much good. For about same price, you can get longer-lasting, better-gripping skating shoes. Which are the guy shoes.you could always get plain skater shoes and decorate them later using a sharpie or something.
And one more thing : Don`t be a poser, be yourself!!!!!

Hi Adrianita, to look more skater you need a drastic layered chopped edgy hair cut. Use symmetrical angles, chopped bangs, and spritz to stiff it out. Wear colorful tops with ruined jeans and Vans. You will look awesome!

to look like a skater you have to be a skater to be a fake. if you dont look the part then dont make yourself because then your just trying to hard.
