U gotta really feel it and know it to make it believable and real. The feeling of the lyrics is more important than rhyme and rhythm. Spill it when u feel it. U can always edit it for rhyme and rhythm wenever if so needed, but usually its better left as is i think 24 Aug 2009 / Reply answer / 0

I've onyl written two songs. One about a fight between a friend and me. And the other about what my best friend was going through.My mom's co-worker's daughter writes songs and she gets inspiration from her own life and other peopls life and mixes them. Write what you know. Did you have a nasty breakup? Write about it. Spill your guts, and then go back and edit it into a song or a poem. If you don't hold back and let all of the ideas spill out onto the page, you might be surprised as to what you can come up with. This really helps me a lot when I write my songs.
