Need as many answers as I can get!

OK, so I went to the doctor a few days ago and he checked my height and weight, (4'5 and 1/4 and 61 lbs.) I'm 11 btw, anyways, I had my period a few months ago and my doctor said because of this that I won't grow any longer, is this true? Also, how much did you grow after your first period? I really don't want to be this height for the rest of my life please help! My mom grew 4 inches after her first period and is 4'9. my dad's 6'0 the doctor said i could be anywhere between 4'8-5'6 but since he said i won't grow much longer i'll only be 4'8 grr! Please help!

i didn't stop growing till a few years ago

all be it was very very slow i'm now 5'6' when i graduated i was only 5'5"

i just means you MAY have reached the peek of your growth spurt. but it doesn't mean you're going to stop but it is realistic to think you may be the same height as your mom.

my mom's family is all pretty small (my gpa was tall) but everyone else is under 5'5" and my dad's side the girls are taller than me and so are the guys.

Your doctor is saying not to expect a huge growth spurt. We all continue to grow little by little till about 18-23ish... it varies girls and guys. Do not loose hope you will still continue to grow...just not as fast and noticeable. But judging from your parents and your mom is rather petite... I think you will definitely reach the 5' mark. But do not expect 5'9" or anything.... ( hehe i wish I was taller too!) But don't stress about it just let your body do its thing. but still continue to eat healthy and make sure you are taking your calcium.....this will help your bones strengthen and grow. *sigh* I haven't got a clue how small i was when i started, but i know that i haven't grown much compared to how i used to shoot up. But now i feel likes its a centemetre a year after i started.. But im almost as tall as my mom and im 13 so im sure i have a little growth in me ; ) And if you're 11 you could still possibly grow

but if not, well its not the end of the world, small people are fun sized

i dnt think thats true. i took mine a few years ago and im still getting taller.
plus, being small isnt a bad thing.

i wouldnt listen to what the doctor says. u will grow, as puberty changed ur body in a lot of ways.
