how to stop biting nails

Okay, so i tend to bite my nails, but then I don't bite them for a week or so and they grow, untill I bite them again. Anyone have any ideas of how to stop me biting them again? I have already tried the stuff that makes them taste real bad. Thanks

discipline works pretty well, try something very very bad tasting-I know you already mentioned that, paint your nails a pretty color you dont want to mess up? reward yourself every time you go an hour or a day or whatever you decide without biting your nails. Make yourself give a dollar to a charity every time you do bte them, make small goals and work your way up, get a chew toy lol that's what I did 22 Sep 2009 / 0

get a really nice manicure so every time you bring your nails to your teeth you catch a glimps of it and stop yourself. 22 Sep 2009 / 0

i have that problem too and i find that my nails have become more brittle because of it. what i have started doing besides chewing gum is painting my nails. take this step as being prissy. when you start to see the nail polish chip, change it. as you continue to do it, it should make you stop biting them as much.
