ya, for the first few days they hurt and they feel uncomftorable but after that you pretty much get used to them. it gives u an excuse to eats tons of ice cream and jello for the first few days! trust me, the pains worth it because aftere you will have perfectly straight teeth! 12 Sep 2009 / Reply answer / 0

Truthfully, yes they do hurt.
But only for the first couple of days and when you get them tightened.
They don't make you uglier, besides it pays off to have beautiful straight teeth.
Also carry a compact mirror and a tooth brush.
Because I know it sounds gross but they tend to get stuck between the wire and the your teeth.

I had braces for 7 years!! I'm not going to lie to you, they hurt REALLY bad when you first get them on. And when the orthodontist tightens them. Keep a toothbrush in yer backpack, because alot of stuff gets stuck in them. Brace's don't make a person ugly, braces are helping to make your teeth beautiful!!! Those 7 years of braces were worth it, because i have perfectly straight teeth now! If you're uncomftorable with them, try drawing attention away from your mouth. Try getting a new haircut, or wear eye make-up. then they won't be as noticable.

they hurt when they first go on and when ever you have to get them tightened and it'll be bareable and get's better as you go along. you'll get wax to put on them to try and keep them from making your cheeks sore.
yes do keep a small mirror on hand and one of the lil christmas tree looking toothpicks the dentist will give you when you're at school for lunch and out with friends eating. 02 Sep 2009 / Reply answer / 0

Yeah usually it hurts at first becaouse ur teeth are moving and pulling together... i have braces now and i kinda like the way they look. You prolly want ur own personal mirror cuz sometimes food gets stuck and u have to like get it out.....ok thats sounds a little gross..... Anyways there not half as bad as they sound. Hope this helped : ) 02 Sep 2009 / Reply answer / 0

I agree. It is a little uncomftorable at first because you really need to stretch out your mouth. They're sore afterwards but you can take a Tylenol. I think braces are pretty and come in fun colors! It is hard because there are certain things that you can't eat but it pays off when you're teeth are straight!

I guess it will be a little bit uncomfortable at first but you'll get used to them. It's better to get them now and have a perfect smile later. You won't regret doing it, thrust me. I didn't want to wear them and now I wish I would have. My teeth are now straight but I could have hsd them like this a long time ago
